With growth comes scaling opportunities and the need to strengthen our team by adding a Senior Business Systems Analyst for Financial Applications to drive performance, efficiency, and effectiveness. With a consistent track record automating core finance & accounting processes with low friction, high value business systems, you'll help Splunk prepare internally for growth as we scale into a multibillion dollar company. This role is for you if possess a blend of engagement skills, revenue process and system knowledge, attention to detail, critical thinking, and a passion for frictionless systems.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that.

In this role you will define and own key IT Finance projects ensuring their successful execution and continued alignment to the overall business flow, system architecture and data management direction at Splunk. Additionally you will work with the end-users and their management to determine and enhance business processes and workflow, and be responsible for maintaining all assigned business systems documentation. This role within Splunk is a strategic advisor to our internal clients and thus requires a high level of expertise in Finance IT systems, as well as superior communication, prioritization and influencing skills.

You will:

  • Lead project delivery by defining, maintaining and communicating Finance Systems requirements, solution approach & design, standards and standardized methodologies across the Enterprise.

  • Develop and assist business partners with creating requirements, identifying gaps and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with solution architects to define and implement effective and efficient solutions to business challenges and opportunities.

  • Guide and mentor delivery teams in all aspects of delivery, process optimization regarding the Financial Systems.

  • Perform project design reviews and audits to ensure all team members meet design objectives and follow standards.

    You'll join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for accelerating and simplifying the Accounting, Tax, FP&A, A P, A R and reporting functions and platforms. You will be challenged with identifying creative ideas and proofs of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience implementing large scale business systems with at least three large scale implementations.

  • Experience in finance operations and deep understanding of various processes including but not limited to GL Accounting, Tax, P2P and Order to Cash.

  • Experience with Cloud ERP solutions is a requirement, e.g. NetSuite, WorkDay, or SAP Cloud, Oracle Cloud, as is a good knowledge of integration of Finance system with other applications.

  • Progressively larger degrees of responsibility, specifically focused on business analysis and project management.

  • Ability to explain complex systems and technical topics in a clear, concise manner to others who may have minimal technical knowledge using oral, written and visual presentations.

  • Excellent planning and execution skills with a demonstrable history of establishing and meeting impactful goals and objectives with regards to data integration.

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, providing consistent record of all activities, while handling confidential work with discretion.

  • Experience leading complex initiatives in a SOX compliant environment.

  • Proficiency with all the components of the MS-Office Suite, including Visio.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or other technical discipline or Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience is preferred.

  • Travel up to 25%
