Operations Systems Analyst - Payroll

We are hiring for a Payroll Operations Systems Analyst. The Payroll Operations Systems Analyst will be responsible for leading ongoing system requirements management, regression testing, and business process changes, as well as projects related to Workday, Salesforce, and downstream systems impacting payroll processing. This role will also be responsible for driving process improvement, data analysis for incident management, testing, analyzing system configuration problems, production support and “Business As Usual” (BAU) process improvement.

Responsibilities :

  • Testing and release lead for Workday releases that impact the payroll, absence, and time operations

  • Recommend and own process improvements to drive improvements in the operation including system recommendations and manual workarounds

  • Analyze data for incidents to identify impacts and make recommendations on resolution path.

  • Create and/or validate processes associated with organizational needs

  • Create or maintain tools create outside system such as excel macros that enable manual workarounds

  • Solve or improve configuration issues either from break/fix tickets for enhancement requests including testing and documentation of changes

  • Point of contact for production support for operation team in issue resolution and troubleshooting

  • Special projects and/or other responsibilities as assigned

  • Actively participate in daily huddles/ stand ups as needed

  • Maintain open communication with operations team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel

  • At least 1 year of experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Human Resources

  • At least 1 year of experience in Compensation, or at least 1 year of experience in Finance, or at least 1 year of experience in Analytics, or a combination of the three

  • At least 1 year of experience with SAAS configuration

  • At least 1 year experience with Business Process Management (BPM), or at least 1 year of experience with Agile or a combination of both

  • At least 1 year of experience calculating payroll from gross to net.

  • Knowledge of human resources and compensation including knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws/regulations relating to compensation
