Lockheed Martin Computer Systems Analyst in Liverpool, New York
Position is in the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS) organization supporting the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Business Area. This position will require interfacing with various members of the RMS leadership community, and the Operations and Quality departments. Candidate will function as a technical lead, reviewing developer-created software packages to meet specified criteria and quality. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software solutions for our internal customers in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Implement and maintain software packages - Maintain system documentation - Technical writer - Author system functional requirements and technical design documentation - Perform data analysis and produce report based on SQL Server or Oracle - Troubleshoot problems related to software applications; resolve systems integration and compatibility issues - Manage multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a structured, gated process - Work with business and IT teams to plan and implement projects - Requirements gathering and execution of IT projects related to manufacturing - Engagement with developers on production support and project tasks
Work location is preferred at a major RMS Site: Stratford CT, Syracuse, NY, Owego, NY, Moorestown NJ, Orlando FL and Manassas VA. May consider other RMS site locations. Telecommuting is not preferred but is an option.
Basic Qualifications - BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) - 5+ years of strong Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience including designing, programming, and documenting large-scale software systems - Demonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating software specs, design patterns, continuous integration) - Experience with source code configuration management - Strong written and oral communication skills, including technical writing - Technical experience in writing and executing database queries - Thrives in team environment
Desired skills - Experience with source code configuration management using Atlassian Toolset (Jira, Git, Bitbucket) and Subversion. - Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. - Experience with Eclipse, Apache HTTP server, Apache tomcat, Active MQ. - Proficiency in working with relational database, SQL and PL/SQL. - Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology - Strong operating system knowledge - Server and Desktop - Detail oriented, strong analysis skills and time management - Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement - Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines well - RMS or RMS IT business experience - Knowledge of manufacturing applications
