The candidate will be responsible in the first instance, and under supervision, for developing a road map and business case for the enhancement and development of KBR procurement systems.

Following the approval of the roadmap the candidate will be responsible for delivering, or assisting to deliver this road map.

It is anticipated that the development of this road map will produce a combination of enhancements to existing systems and configuration of new systems.

The candidate will take ownership for ensuring that our systems and developed and configured in such a manner that deliver relevant information and data analysis to support future decision making. Knowledge of some of the following technologies will be a requirement:

Oracle databases


SQL development

KBR is transforming the way in which procurement and supply chain information is managed and used.

The aim is to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities that provide KBR with market intelligence, more effective and efficient supply chain management whilst minimising and automating transactional activities.

KBR have a suite of in-house and commercial systems that assist us in delivering our supply chain management. Our aim is twofold: to enhance our current systems by embedding and supplementing them with current and emerging technologies; and to maximise the market intelligence and sue of these technologies.

The objective is to deliver the best information to enable optimal business decisions and to minimise the cost of transactional and non-added value activities.

We are looking for a candidate demonstrable relevant experience in current and emerging technologies and their configuration and implementation in business environment. The technologies that KBR current utilise include:

Oracle databases


Development of systems interfaces

Business reporting tools such as SSRS

The candidate must be proficient in the configuration and management of these technologies or be able to demonstrate that he/she will be able to master them in a reasonably short period of time. Furthermore the candidate must have knowledge and reasonable experience in data structure and data mining.

Some of the emerging technologies that KBR is looking at implementing include:

Robotic process automation


Mobile applications

Speech recognition

Knowledge and experience in some of these technologies will be an advantage. Preference will be given to the individual who displays the necessary professional and personal skills to successfully integrate and produce high-calibre delivery of analytics and systems deployments as a team member in a small multi-discipline team.

The applicant will be required to demonstrate a suitable blend of appropriate education, experience and personal competencies as outlined below:

Knowledge of Procurement and system activities in a Project environment

Flexibility with a proactive attitude and willingness to get the job done


Good communication skills


A very high reliance on self-sufficiency, motivation, self prioritising and good planning due to the nature of the job (places and times).
