Job Summary:

Preferred qualifications:

Assesses Clarity reporting & extract needs of customers through research, analysis and evaluation to create requested reports.

Tests Clarity reports and extracts functionality in coordination with analysts/Application Coordinators to assure data quality prior to production.

Experience creating reports using Clarity platform and Crystal Reports

Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL); experience with query tuning and optimization.

Licenses / Certifications: Certification for at least 1 Epic Cogito Reporting module, Epic Clarity Reporting certification highly preferred; Slicer-Dicer experience highly preferred

Successful candidates need to show 3 years' experience building, implementing, and supporting Epic Reports in a large multi-facility hospital and clinic environment.

Manages projects. Participates in feasibility studies, estimating, planning, design, development, quality assurance, prototyping, implementation, evaluation and modification of automated systems. Defines training requirements for end-users and project team members. Recommends automated and manual solutions to enhance system functionality.


  • Coordinates on-site systems administration and support activities.

  • Interacts with end-users as required to assist in problem definition and system design.

  • Coordinates and conducts education and end-user training programs to assure systems are utilized as designed.

  • Develops end-user documentation or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.

  • Assists with system build, data validation and system testing.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree and demonstrated leadership skills required.

  • Master's Degree preferred.


  • Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field.

  • Technical certification may be required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills are required.

  • Excellent at problem solving and relationship building.

Work Experience:

  • Five years of hospital or major medical center clinical experience or three years of recent experience implementing and supporting a major clinical information system.

  • Additional relevant years of experience may offset Bachelor's Degree.

Physical Requirements:

  • High degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing.

  • Verbal communication and sufficient mobility to attend clinical meetings throughout the organization.

  • Required to be available after hours for support by pager and computer dial-in.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
